Collin G. Joseph is a Senior Lecturer in the Industrial Chemistry programme of the School of Science and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. He completed his PhD in the field of Sonophotocatalysis & Sonophotoreaction Engineering from the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. His academic qualifications include: Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Petroleum Chemistry (1999) and Master of Science in Material Chemistry (2003) from Universiti Putra Malaysia.  He also holds an Associateship from the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry since 2003.

To date, he has won and completed 4 FRGS research grants as a Project Leader and is a co-researcher for 2 other current FRGS research grants (including 1 joint-research grant with UiTM).

He authored a book titled Laboratory Experiments For Chemistry Practical 1, which has been used as the only laboratory manual for Physical and Organic Chemistry 1 for first year chemistry students in UMS since 2005. He has also written and published 17 articles in various international peer reviewed journals including in journals under the prestigious Elsevier B.V. publisher and presented at various international conferences and seminars with 12 proceeding articles under his belt. He has participated at  the prestigious PEREKA exhibition (2009, 2010 & 2012) and won Silver medals each time for his outstanding and innovative research contributions. His SCOPUS author id is 26531210000 and his current h-index is 3 with a total of 88 citations on his published articles (as of 28th May 2012).Two of his review articles were voted as the most downloaded and second most downloaded in SciVerse ScienceDirect TOP25 Hottest Articles.

Due to his outstanding contributions in his field of study, he was invited by various international journal editors to sit as a member of the review panel of the following international scientific journals in Catalysis, Environmental Science, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering for various journals under Elsevier B.V, Taylor&Francis, Wiley-VCH and American Chemical Society publishers:
