All papers submitted to this conference will be double-blind peer reviewed by at least two members of the International Program Committee and related technical committees. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality, significance, technical soundness, presentation, and references. The conference chair will make the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of all papers.

This 27th Conference 2013 is jointly organized by the School of Science and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sabah as the host, in cooperation with the Malaysian Solid State Science and Technology Society (MASS).
The aim of this conference is to provide a platform for discussions on solid state science and technology in all aspects of physical and chemical properties, preparation and characterization techniques, optical properties; macro-, micro- and nano-structures. In addition, modeling, simulation and measurement methods as well as current developments in technology will also be discussed.
